I don’t know what they put in those supermarket cartons but it most assuredly is not genuine eggnog

Never had store bought eggnog. Mom always made some and added some extra special flavoring.

And a fruitcake. Eggnog and fruitcake. Makes the season bright.

And don’t forget the Jack.

No other nog will do?

As long as it has the nog, which originally referred to the alcohol in the drink.

Advocaat and lemonade is a “snowball”. Can you do the same with eggnog ?

Don’t like it. Never have.

Mom’s eggnog was the best. She gave us the recipe. Store bought egg nog is nasty crap.

My grandson, bless his heart, calls eggnog ‘Christmas milk’.

Eggnog: the original protein shake.

I love it but I fix the recipe. Hold the eggs, sugar, milk, cream, nutmeg and substitute bourbon for the brandy. Much better buzz from my version. I have the proof.

I love eggnog, too. It’s like cake, whose major function is to hold frosting. Eggnog’s major function is to add new flavoring to Kahlua. And rum. Just got my ’nog today, in anticipation of the storm coming in.

He already has a barrel of rum.
