Oooh Sophie does have her little tricks! How she can manipulate mom and dad – even Doug. Amazing but dogs (and cats) do this beautifully to their humans.
My ex-wife’s dog just lies on the floor and whines. Doesn’t matter if there are half a dozen other balls around, the one under the couch gets all the attention.

Our Gracie has a food ball that gets stuck under the hutch once in a while. She doesn’t bark-she just comes and gets me. (She growls at me)

Of course, Sophie wasn’t actually barking at the BALL as such but at Dad . And it worked.

It worked by drawing you attention to it, which wouldn’t have happened if she hadn’t barked.
