Youth memories stick strongly with me. The first time I was allowed stay up past Midnight into the first of the new year, I watched Guy Lombardo and his “Royal Canadians” play “Auld Lang Syne” on New Year’s Eve. And I still search out whatever TV station plays Fred Astaire/ Ginger Rogers movies that night.
Since the little tike is looking up, Grandma must be using different voice tones for the characters in the story. My girls always giggled when I did that, and were disappointed when I didn’t.
Flannel pajamas and one leg in bed. Looking forward to flat bubby and stale crackers and cheese in the morning. (Fresh chocolate though. Your not crazy.)

Some Pluggers remember rockin’ to Dick Clark’s American Bandstand and even listening to Gooey Lumbago’s band on New Year’s Eve!

Grandmas are precious. Cherish them while you can.
