Yesterday I took the time to inventory all of our Christmas decorations. It was fun going through all of the boxes and looking around the house for the ones that are up for display. I even managed to purge some of the stuff we’ll never use again like the incandescent tree lights and the old falling-apart tinsel garland. The only thing I didn’t list was each ornament on the tree. I’ll do that as we remove them, the rest was pretty easy. I made a spreadsheet of everything that I have done so far.
Today a friend is coming over to give me a “dance in a chair” lesson. She’s been asked to start a dance class for a bunch of octogenarians and wants to practice on me. It sounds like a lot of fun and I always enjoy spending time with her.
My son lost access to his Facebook account while he was in prison. (Don’t ask, it was a comedy of errors.) His daughter is still “friends” with that account and she has downloaded all of his photos and sent them to him so that he now has access to them again. She sent to me one of his pics of his little dog Chewie that was taken from him when he was arrested. I made one of the pet ornaments out of that photo and will give it to him next time I see him. I expect he will shed tears, he really loved that dog.
We’ve been talking about going to our favorite local casino for New Year’s Eve. During the pandemic they required reservations at their restaurant to even get inside the casino. We’ll see how it goes on Saturday. If they won’t allow us in, we’ll go to one of the big local resorts.
Today’s forecast is 54, down around 10 degrees from the last few days. It’s “mostly cloudy”, but none of the clouds are thick or glowering.

Top-o-the morning Vagabonds
Woke up to see 23 on the thermometer, mixed sun and clouds today with a high of 40.
Here we go again, just another day. You know what, I’ll take it. One more day to completing my latest turn around the sun.
Keep happy Vagabonds may God hold you close.
