Ouch. Burgundy is a deep shade of red. That is serious.

At least I will get a raise in my social security to cover the increase in my rent!

Well burgundy is closer to black actually since it’s dark red but that’s not what she meant.

Sounds like its time for a good Burgundy.

A least it’s not blood red.

We’ll be starting off the new year in the red, by which I mean the color inside the New York Strip steaks I’ll be grilling at midnight.

Time for a transfusion.

I do my part in avoiding bills. Have not had a birthday, Christmas, Chanukah or other gift in years. Nothing I want or need.

Husband is the spender. In my family a gift was not something expensive – more like under US$10 if that much in total. In his family gifts went past US$50 to $100 and maybe beyond with lots of gifts. We got one big one (maybe $5) and 7 smaller ones – a coloring book or book of paper dolls were a gift. (I remember my mom asking me if I wanted a 25 cent coloring book or a 50 cent set of paper dolls for that specific day once when giving me one of my gifts.)
