Ah, so when you got out of bed reality set in. It happens to the best of us. I started that day with a good breakfast, an equally great worship service with the Eucharist. But, later, my prime musician bailed out of my 4 PM service leaving me to put together a whole new service. That service was OK and, also, short. I guess that was a good thing.

Poor ole Brutus Thornapple, the only change of life for Brutus is getting out of the other side of the bed. After that it is all the same.

gee, that would ruin anyone’s start of the year. :D

And that was the best part of the day given the slip on the ice that followed.

Got up after 2 snooze alarms instead of 3.

Brutus has no need to drag a comb across his head, but apparently he can find his way downstairs and drink a cup.

Some people would be happy to wake up to find out they have a job, but we know about his boss.

Rancid is quite the taskmaster, making his employees work on a day that the holiday is observed. There must be a high demand for tea cozies on holidays.
