No eggs is easy. The Walmart Supercenter was completely out of them when I was there last Friday.

Shipping veggies from Australia.. Peru.. or Africa for North American consumption can’t be that environmentally friendly.

I would eat more salad if a head of lettuce the size of a baseball didn’t cost $ 6 !!

We are vegetarian and eat vegan a lot. Try the plant-based sausages. They are amazing!

If our ancestors had stuck to eating “only veggies, fruit, beans, seeds and nuts,” we’d still be living in small groups. Huddle together for warmth in the cold, since we wouldn’t know about fire. Learn to hide and run from carnivores and not much else, since our brains would be the half the size they are today.

I don’t understand how people think eating vegan can save the planet. Eggs aren’t baby chickens unless fertilized. One cow can provide meat for a family for many months, or milk for even longer… and having breastfeed my own kids, i know that when a cow’s udder is full, it is very happy to get milked and relieve that pressure! Take all these plants and add all the preservatives, processing, packaging and shipping, and you really think that’s healthier for you and the planet? Too many people today have no clue where food comes from besides “the store”.

Eating vegan and doing it in a healthy way is not simple. Need many different components to make up for the nutrients in dairy and meat. It is also not something that should be forced on someone, especially an adult. If my husband did that, I would just go out and purchase my own food and prepare it myself.

Nothing like completely changing one’s diet suddenly to throw the body’s workings into chaos.

There are people who follow the Rastafarian lifestyle (Ital diet) who don’t eat dairy products, meat, eggs, and avoid alcohol and caffeine, as well. They do eat small fish, but avoid shrimp/ crab/ lobster. During my times traveling and/ or living in other countries, I’ve only ever encountered Americans who are so negative about vegetarian/ vegan/ Rastafarian diets.
