@ Ling Today’s strip IS funny the way our HERO Mr Andrew Capps advice missfires is classic ;o) my avatar is a spoof of a lady hitting a smoker with her handbag because second hand smoke could harm her , which reminds me that now that I have stopped smoking for more than 5 years , other peoples smoke bothers me , but i don’t hit them ;o) come passerai il vostro Sabato mio meneo vecchio amicho? our Saturday should be mildly busy we both are in a good mood and with no shopping to do or errands to run , we are staying inside the house and keep hydrated because it’s cold outside, keep safe and a bientot pal
I’m not that bad. But I bought a really nice board and several sets of high end darts, only to realize I have insufficient hand-eye coordination to be any good.
Today’s strip reminds me of the character of Ely in “Last of the Summer Wine”. He was an extremely poor-sighted character who was introduced to us in 1985 when Nora’s husband Wally Batty was still alive. He first appeared throwing darts at the dart board so badly that the regular characters ran out of the pub to safety. It then turned out that Compo already knew him and told the others, “That’s Ely thingummy from Milton Street.” It then turned out that Ely and Wally knew each other and Ely recognised Wally from a distance before the others recognised him as he could see at a long distance but not a short distance. It was mentioned that Ely and Wally had been in the war together. Clegg remarked, “He would have been good as a sniper but not at bayonet fighting.”

Be grateful, purple suit, the dart didn’t land on your uncovered head.

I quit smoking in 1977. Back then a pack of smokes only cost about 50 cents. Look how much they are today.

First Andy, check their eyesight. Next, see if they know what the target looks like.

That looks to be one sharp hat, but in fact, it’s a knockoff.

Another friendly fire incident in a venue that combines alcohol, and sharp pointed projectiles.

I’ve searched on GoogleEarth for a pub called “The Jolly Riveters” in the UK. There isn’t one. I wonder why?
