I had a tendon attached in my elbow, rotator cuff surgery on both sides, a prosthetic knee, cataract surgery, a pacemaker/defribulator and a stent in one leg.
I have so many stitches and implants that I can’t decide if I am the Frankenstein monster or a borg.
I am thankful for two things: the science that made all of this possible and the insurance to cover it all.

So many people in this country don’t have medical insurance. I, too, am grateful that I do.
