Helps to be a regular and known customer in a town where everyone knows everyone else. In the early 60’s after mowing the neighborhood lawns on Saturday I would go down to the drugstore and buy the latest comics, stock up on bubblegum for the week and finally end up at the lunch counter to ask how much a banana split cost while pulling whatever change I had left out of my pocket. Amazingly the price was always exactly the amount of change I placed on the counter. I went home several years ago for a funeral and stopped into the drugstore for a bit of nostalgia, but it just wasn’t the same. It was turned into the Dr. Pepper Museum. I did, however stock up on original recipe Dr. Pepper before driving home.
Okay so this is an arc.. which i’m fine with as we haven’t relaly gotten into the place Wallace plays pinball that much.. also explains why Spud goes with him at all.

Spud for the win! Weird how that ploy almost never works on other adults.

It’s important to point out that Spud asked for the slice that she couldn’t sell. Very savvy.

You know what would make that Cosmik Carp game even better? A shack out back to play it in. Way out back.

Wallace is all spaced out into the pinball game. Look at his eyes! Totally synchronized.

It’s unfair that Seagull didn’t get a piece of cake after playing them ol’ puppy eyes.
