What kind of fighting force do you have, if soldiers are expected to treat one another with respect?

I don’t know what particular offense was made to make you insult the entire United States Marine Corps, but perhaps you should pull your “boys” out of the tanning salon and readjust your attitude. ANY person willing to pick up a gun and go through the rigorous training the Marines are famous for deserves your respect. It does not matter if they are a HE, SHE, THEY or whatever.

What do you suppose the “offense” is that has Gorrell’s panties in a knot?

In the Marines (and the Air Force and Coast Guard), recruits are told to call drill sergeants “sir” (or “ma’am”); in the Army, we were told to call ours “drill sergeant” (as in “YES, DRILL SERGEANT!” and “NO, DRILL SERGEANT!”). If “yes, sir/no, sir” and “yes, ma’am/no ma’am” are to be replaced across the board with “yes, captain/no, captain” and “yes, sergeant/no, sergeant,” what is being lost?

(If we called a drill sergeant “sir” by mistake, we were likely to be told “DON’T CALL ME ‘SIR,’ I WORK FOR A LIVING!”)

Good. Everyone needs to be a little more woke.

Republicans like to take others’ strengths and make them sound like weaknesses. That shows just what weaklings THEY are.

And I see Mr Gorrell never served in the armed forces.

Well,I’ve always said,if I’m in a jam anywhere in the world,PLEASE send the Marines! PULEEZE!

At least the Marines are not asleep like the anti democracy republican insurrectionists.

All the services and national guards are suffering from a major lack of volunteers. Families witrh traditions of two and three generations of service are advising their kids not to join. Wokeness is but a part of it.

Does Gorrell ever actually draw?

“woke”, much like ‘politically correct’, is simply showing consideration for your fellow American. conservatives try to demonize those terms. Do you oppose showing consideration, or oppose your fellow Americans?

I think there are quite a few US Marines who would like to have at Mr. Gorrell with their woke fists.

Wow, Mr. Gorrell you sure stirred up one big hornets nest.

So the Marine command gets ordered to go woke by the Biden agenda. All this to pander to the 2-3% of the population that is LGBT+ . Meanwhile there is a far less percentage of that category who are actually in the armed services or even willing to join. Wonder what the next year’s recruitment will look like. The Marines are the only branch of the armed forces that meet their recruit quota because it takes a certain mindset to commit to that kind of bad a$$. One thing for sure is that the rank and file Marines are rolling their eyes and going “Fuqing ay!”

I sure hope they are awake when they defend out country.
