Cloudy this AM and 34 degrees, a few possibe snow showers during the day, high of 39. Well, alright!
Today I make my first shopping trip of 2023, got’ta get that food ya know. Then tomorrow we go looking for a small trailer to carry the snowblower on, it seems that this Jeep dose not have room for the machine and it’s blower stack. We knocked the the stack off trying to unload the blower, so, trailer needed. (^.^)

We went out for brunch yesterday to a place that is new to us. I saw an ad for it and mentioned it to Mike. He said he’s been there and it is great. He’s right. It’s an old fashioned diner with the hearty rib-sticking food that you would associate with such a place. For a small hole-in-the-wall place, it was packed and there was a line outside waiting for seats. They’ve even installed heaters outside to keep the people waiting warm. All in all a very pleasant experience and we will go back sometime.
I also finally got the latch-hook for my other new project yesterday. Today I think I’ll leave the dollhouse behind and work on the rug. At least the instructions are written in understandable English.
After yesterday’s downpour, we have blue skies and sunshine this morning. We’re at 45 looking at a high of 56. Not bad for January.
we got about 2 inches of snow in the surprise storm yesterday. today is supposed to reach a balmy 36.
small hole-in-the-wall diners have the best food. jack will occassionly pick up 4 orders of egg rolls (to feed the freezer) and pork fried rice from our favorite chinese ‘resturant’. everything is made fresh from scratch. and, they are only open on thur, fri, and sat!
I’ve found the little railroad car diners have good food to. There used to be one in Newport called The Miss Newport Diner, I ate there only a couple of times but, it was very good.
Well my annual checkup this morning went well. My blood tests were all good and she did a flexibility test on my shoulder and said it was a bad sprain. I am very thankful it was not a pinched nerve.
I forgot to check the early morning temperature today. To focused on getting to my appointment on time. Currently it is sunny and 54, which is also our high.
The rest of the day will be quietly spent ar home.
