I asked an old-timer years ago what he had learned about life. He replied “The older you get you learn to make fewer mistakes!”……..I hope he’s right because I think I’m now older than he was.
While we appreciate your effort.. you can save time by learning from the mistakes of others. As an old saying goes.. no sense in re-inventing the wheel.
While I do make plenty of my own mistakes, I think that the important thing about being part of a community is developing the skill of learning from OTHER people’s mistakes .
This skill is especially lacking in young people who are living in “virtual” isolation. Consequently, they have to make all the mistakes on their own. It is far better to know enough real people to see the consequences of overdoing drugs and alcohol, marrying too soon and thinking violent behavior is a way to deal with problems.
I have to say that is one of the many skills I developed while working at The Renaissance Pleasure Faire, which is the size of small city when operating and was full of subcultures that interacted throughout the year.

Well, Horace, you could start anew‼️ Slow down and think before you make a move in the right direction….and not on the elevator either‼️

Is he shrinking? Don’t feel small, Horace. It takes a big horse to admit you’ve been wrong.

Mistakes, when you reach a higher level. so will the mistakes. Unless you learn from others making mistakes.
