I believe if Rover could dig straight down from much of the United States (the contiguous states), it would put him somewhere in the southern part of the Indian Ocean between the southern Africa and southern Australia.
I remember that we used to hear that all the time when I was a little girl digging a hole. Then I was told that China isn’t exactly on the other side. I decided it didn’t matter, it was still fun to pretend it was China.
