It’s been quite some time since the SB commercials showed the originality that made them noteworthy

I don’t care for the games, all I wanna see are the halftime show and the commercials.

There’s no way one could complete an oil change during a portion of the game uninterrupted by commercials. The opposite, however, quite doable.

I watch the game if and only if a team or a player that I follow is in it. Otherwise, I don’t bother.

As for the commercials, I’m a minimalist and dedicated non-consumer and can’t care less about them.

My favorite by far is still the 1984 Apple ad!

As one who mutes all advertising – I haven’t heard a commercial in decades – this absolutely grosses me out. Between the hype about commercials and the hour-long halftime with proletarian “entertainment”, I wouldn’t normally watch the Super Bowl. But one of the teams is “my” hometown team, so it will be watched with one finger on the mute button.

The score summary overlay is so big you can’t see all of the action.

Let’s see, I have not watched the Super Bowl since I can’t remember when. At least since 2008 when we ditched cable. The only exception was around 2012 when we were invited to a Super Bowl party by friends. Basically, I’m not that much into sports of any kind.

That’s today? Guess it’s reruns or a DVD if I turn on the TV this afternoon or this evening.

We don’t have a TV. But we would travel if the Steelers were playing.

Meanwhile up here in Canada, we get to watch the same 5 commercials we have been watching since 2003 no matter what feed we watch.

To be fair, the commercial viewers are most likely also there for the halftime show.

If 43% were watching for the commercials, then they were sorely disappointed.

I watch the Puppy Bowl and record the Super Bowl. Then I fast forward through the game and pause to watch the commercials.

She should say “any idea who’s playing?”
