I’ve often thought the solution is prohibit Execs from having any stock options. That would prevent this unhealthy fixation they have with stock price. They would then be free to run the company in a way that benefits the actual company in a way that allows it and its employees to be economically viable long-term and grow.

I used to work at a company where the employees were shareholders… management was sooo conflicted…
