Good idea, or hire someone else to do it.

Since the house hose is frozen, I sure hope we don’t see a yellow rink anytime soon!

No, it’s time to pass it on to the next generation. Let them benefit from your sage knowledge and hard earned experience. Why, in MY day… We had to haul buckets of water from the creek, over half a mile away, one at a time, for a week, to flood the back yard. Then my friend said “Hey Earl, wanna skate with the rest of us on the frozen lake at the end of the street?”

OR, go buy a pull-behind “Zamboni” from NiceRink! Makes resurfacing the rink a breeze….oh, make sure you have access to hot water when you do it. Mirror like surface in the AM.

My father took us ice skating once. We had okay fun, not great, just because it was new and different. He then for Xmas bought us all ice skates and tried this backyard rink thing. Total failure – too small, not enough water to get above all the grass, too many thaw days, we grew out of the skates, etc. Never did anything like this for us again.
