Back in 1976-77 I had a temporary research job just outside Paris; the apartment we rented in Levallois-Perret had a burlap-like fabric covering a thin layer of insulation over the old plaster walls. Our two cats would climb the fabric (fortunately without damaging it) to get to high shelves or just for fun.
I bought new curtains, and after numerous scoldings, my two leave them alone. Mind you, these are only windowsill length so they don’t drag on the floor and temptation is lessened.
My cat Princess loved jeans, she’d only sit on your lap if you were wearing them. We had to make her jean blankets by sewing together old pairs of my dad’s.
