Awareness of the world around you is important, but imagining how it could be different is also valuable so always make time for Star Trek. Season 3 of Picard starts this week and it manages to do both as they travel back in time to current day L.A. with all its environmental, and social justice challenges. All in order to prevent an alternate fascist future and restore the time line to its ultimately optimistic and collaborative vision of the Star Trek universe.
