Books aren’t as warm as Meowmie.

Well, that was a quick recovery.

One of my cats likes to sit in front of my laptop screen.

As I write this, my cat is on my lap with my tablet balanced on his back. Compromises.

If your kitty is a Russian Blue, your tablet has a nice cushion.

The keyboard obscuration is also annoying. However, I had one cat who was big, stable and calm enough to sit on my lap and be a keyboard rest. :)

It doesn’t get much better than a good book, and a warm cat snuggled against you. I just hope Mittens doesn’t disturb Mama with the tippy tapping of his claws whilst he’s texting.

Sis’s boss Lou isn’t a lap cat; he’s a “next-to-you cat.” My Grandpuppies are another story – they both think they’re lap dogs! That’s not so bad with the 10yo somewhat chonky Cocker Spaniel*, but his 1yo sis the 70-lb. Golden Retriever is a whole ’nother story!

*When I was at my kids’ place a couple of weeks ago, Matthew aka Huey decided to crawl into my lap while I was sitting on the couch with my Chromebook. It was chilly in the room, & once he settled down, he made a nice warm lap desk. ♡♥♡♥♡♥♡♥♡♥
