My past kitty Nadia used to try to crawl inside my sisters purse. she always wore a perfume with lilac in it and Nadia loved it. she kept a bottle of it in her purse, so Nadia would try to get it.
My late, lamented Pixel would stick his head in Mom’s purse, just checking it out. Mom was amused. This is the same cat who thought we had catnip Odor-Eaters.
In this house, anything with an opening is fair game. Purses, boxes (it doesn’t matter how big or small) , suitcases, a small trash can next to my sewing area; it’s all fair game for Blackjack.
