“Back when I was a kid, you thought you lost your wedding ring, well … I swallowed it. Then it was just easier to flush it down. Sorry, I kinda didn’t think that through.”
I have so many questions for my Mom. ☹️So regretting not asking her about stuff, I journal about everything that goes on so when I’m gone, my kids will know stuff. I also keep journals on my grandkids and their achievements in life.
Recently Mom told me how she had made a Molotov cocktail and thrown it in the street in front of her house when she was fourteen. It burned a trench in the asphalt, which made her father curse every time he ran over it in the car.
I have stories to tell my granddaughters, unfortunately they’re at an age where they have more important things to do. I’m sad that I may never get a chance to tell them.
