It’s statistically possible that you are the one person for whom life is worse than for everyone else. But chances are that you’re doing better than that.

Life could be worse / Could be composed in verse

A tale cautionary / Hilaire Belloc imaginary,

To show the poor example / Of a really bad crabapple

By caterpillars eaten / And after they’re done feastin’

Doomed to rot & decompose / Offensive to the nose,

Degraded thus in verse / Before the entire Universe …

Well, life could be better and I wouldn’t complain.

Remember the old Mel Brooks movie, “Life Stinks?”

You could lose your job because the boss with the board and nail hit you hard!

Things always get better, then they get worse, then they get better. We used to call it “Life” instead of “Periodic Existential Depression”.

Statistics Rule…

Not only can life get worse it certainly will get worse. Entropy of universe increases. (Second Law of thermodynamics, more or less.)
