Yesterday was a painting today a good looking pencil sketch.

I wouldn’t have thought to sketch that marble bench; I guess I take such objects for granite.

I think today’s gag must have got off the bench and walked out of the cartoon.

No gag. Just art. And pretty darn good art at that.

It looks like a marble bench that sits in a cemetery that one would sit upon for quiet reflection. If so then this has the perfect look and feel.

A tableau? Yet, not what might be the immediate interpretation? Perhaps if I sat on the ground nearby and thought about it a bit.

I love the shadows of the tree branches on the bench.
