There it is, my question from why ask Brutus. Brutus must live on Tums!

Do not ask the question if you do not want to hear the answer.

Listen to him RV, Brutus really has his ear to the ground. Kind of hard to walk that way, but listen to him anyway.

Brutus is right. Raising prices on tea cozies might be a bad idea during this inflationary period. With high food prices who would want to waste money paying an arm and a leg for some new tea cozies?

RV forgot the number one rule of managing.

When I want you honest opinion I’ll give it to you.

Very little apparently, so why do you bother asking?

Sometime in the past, Brutus must have made a suggestion that turned out well. Why else would the boss ask for his opinion?

One needs to know their boss’s character and understand if the question they are asking, do they want an honest answer, or a kissing their backside answer?

Brutus is a YES and NO man. Fickle and then some.

Our hapless hero is in trouble again, Veeblefester doesn’t want Brutus’ honest opinion unless of course it agrees with his own.

In the Chief’s humble opinion, Brutus should have kept his opinions to himself.

“That’s all I can stand. I can’t stand no more!” (What’s something that Brutus would never have the courage to say?)

Just because someone asks for an opinion doesn’t mean they agree (they rarely do), but one should feel good that they asked. (and hearing another opinion helps the thought process in any case)

Getting rich selling tea cozies? That’s as dumb as selling pillows on TV.
