Y’know, htg, if anyone, even Rod Serling, Stirling Silliphant or Aaron Sorkin, wrote current DC into a script it would be laughed out of existence as too ludicrous and unproduceable. it should be sci-fi, but it’s not. It should be a drama, but not even Grace Metalious could dream up this mess. A psychological drama? Get real! Political drama? Oh REALLY! Stephen King comes the closest — a nice juicy, totally unreal, straight from drug-and-bad-pizza-induced-nightmares story. But even he’d have to work at it to match the way these people are conducting their lives. And THEN who would believe it?

I wonder what McCarthy thinks of himself. Does he not realize how contemptible he is? What is it like to be someone that NOBODY respects?

He can’t stand to lose even one vote; if a few people call in sick he could lose the position.

It’s okay when a Republican does it… if GQPs can find any dirt on any Dem (or RINO, or anybody else) they will surely demand action…
