The oldest stepdaughter wrote her grocery list on a bill envelope over the course of a couple days……then ordered it online and had it delivered!

A Post-It note is my go-to for my shopping list, as it conveniently sticks to the shopping cart handle….

Some old, retired pluggers need more money to power thru their bills.

An envelope helps the plugger keep his store list short and affordable.

Especially if it reminds him of how high his power bill is, and how little money he has left for groceries.

Guilty. Any random bit of paper is in danger of becoming an ersatz notepad.

The plugger in today’s comic is just practicing the second "r’ in the “Three R’s”: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle.

I use the back of those 365 day comic strip calendars; which reminds me, now is the time to shop for 80% off calendars.

And I thought I was the only one who used bill envelopes as note paper. Took one to Home Depot yesterday with my list of items on it.

I use all the free note pads I get from the donation solicitors. At the rate I get them, I’ll never run out of note pads. Since they’re pocket size, I carry one in my hiking day pack to start a fire if needed.

I keep my grocery list on a regular piece of paper. I tried using the note taking app on my phone, but found it annoying to do so.

I have a loose leaf notebook that I use to keep track of what I’ve done or had done.

This brings back memories of my sweet Aunt Fran, the most frugal woman I knew. She was a dedicated coupon-clipper, and every time we saw her, she’d give us an envelope of coupons she’d clipped just for us. And it was ALWAYS a repurposed Social Security check envelope! I still have the envelope of coupons she gave me, personally, when I got my first apartment – it was a rite of passage. I do miss her!

I once used an envelope that came with a bill to send something. It turned out the address was bar-coded on the envelope. It didn’t matter what address I put.

Or any old envelope or scrap of paper that’s readily available

My Grandparents made lists, notes, doodles, sketches on bill envelopes. Everyone did before online bill pay became available. The Life Insurance Agent came to my parents house to collect payments. I pay all my bills online and do online banking and shopping.

Kind of late to be checking his list since his groceries have already been bagged.
