One time, when I was in the register line at a store, a lady in front of me was lamenting that she bought a video game for her child & was so shocked at how violent it was “but he really wanted it for his 7th birthday”. It was “Grand Theft Auto III”, very clearly marked “Rated M”, and rated as the most violent game of all time at the time. I didn’t play video games (still don’t) and even I knew that at the time!

I didn’t know Dawn of War had a console edition.

I find it a MAJOR failure of our society that people are more repulsed by sexual content than violence (look it up, that is mostly a USA thing,) but that’s beside the point that ratings like “M” or “R” don’t mean that children CAN’T consume the media, it only means the parents should vet the material first so they can decide if it would be appropriate.

M for MEDIOCRE…
