Eating crocodile gumbo?

She’s heard enough of the clues!

“Crocodile Rock” by Elton John. Had to look it up. Sometimes it is astonishing how little I know of popular music.

Shouldn’t that be skipping stones?

Earworms. Sonetimes it’s a song I don’t even like.

I’ve had his song “Candle in The Wind” for several days now. I have no idea why. “Lady Di” gave a lot of class to that group over there.

Every time I heard people talk about ear worms I think about Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan.

I knew it immediately. But don’t give me any of today’s music. I’m kinda lost after the 70s.

Once that song’s in my head the next one is ‘Goodbye Yellow Brick Road….’

rather listen to paint dry or rain fall than him.

Oh great … now I’ve got that song stuck in my head. :-(

Elton John’s final concert in the USA was streamed on Disney +. It was great. Highly recommend it.

The best way to cure ear worms is by singing hymns. "Look ye saints, the sight is glorious … " always works for me :)

I saw Elton perform the song early in his career. Only himself and his drummer on stage. He was wearing regular jeans, sneakers, a gray sweatshirt, and an oversized pair of glasses. He totally rocked the Providence Auditorium!

Great! Just great! Now I have an ear worm and it’s way to early in the morning for that. Now I’ll wind up playing some Earnest Tubb and Innagadadavida at the same time to get rid of it.

It took me about twenty minutes but I FINALLY remembered the song without the aids of the googles.

I can’t imagine having that in your head more than two seconds. Sometimes, however, a song you really hate will stick with you. Paul McCartney’s simply having a wonderful Christmas comes to mind. Uh oh.

I got it. It was the Laa la la laas that gave it away. Now it’s stuck in MY head! Thanks a lot!

I actually hope that it gets into my head. Since I watched that Big Bang Theory episode a few days ago, Sheldon’s “Smooth Jazz” has been absolutely plaguing me. Even my “Earworm Killer” Earworm, “I Love the Flower Girl” has only been able to keep it at bay for a little while. I fear I may succumb…

Ah, music, from a time when they still had music. Good melody, no cuss words, amazing stuff.

That’s the ringtone I use for my wife! Well, part of it, anyway.

True story: I once,for several days, had “Rocky Raccoon”, stuck in my head.Thought about calling Animal Control, but figured anyone there would be too young to understand.

The best way to give someone an earworm is to sing the wrong lyrics, although I suppose humming instead of some of the lyrics would work, too.

I wonder if Jimmy knew Elton John would appear in a Superbowl commercial this weekend.

I try to avoid ear worms by only playing deep cuts. Then I have songs running through my head that I can’t place, and that makes me even crazier.

One of the joys in life is to hear a song you have not heard in decades, and sing along.

They still make plenty of good music today, if you know where to find it.
