Fractured Tales from Shakespeare.

That reminds me of the bit in Airplane! Johnny began at the beginning. “First, the Earth cooled, and then the dinosaurs came…”

I doubt that Chaucer and Shakespeare “created” it, although they mentioned something that already existed.

Also, Shakespeare is at least 200 years after Chaucer, so it’s hard to see how they both could have “created” it.

It looks like Leo is creating his own vday wishes!

He was arrested for performing Christian weddings, which were not recognized by Rome. It’s sad how many ways people find to make themselves guilty of the crimes against their ancestors.

I wonder if anyone actually send the Pope a valentine.

There are various stories about the origin of Valentines Day. A lot of them say Saint (or Saints) Valentine were not particularly associated with romantic love. He / they happened to be martyred on or close to day that was associated with romantic love, whether the association began before or after the martyrdom.
