Ah, too true. Very glad my sis and I inherited a little bit of property from our parents and can take a break from electronics and go tramping in the woods with the dogs. Just discovered Southern grape fern and crane fly orchid in our woods in November! So beautiful. Books, dogs, gardening, and my piano… my loves.
I started my work life at Micro$oft supporting users when Windows 3 was released. I left supervising techs supporting Windows 7. In Win9x days (95 and 98) call volumes jumped 800% as people wanted to get online but used AOL’s crappy interface. Now that I am a homemaker, you could not pay me enough to return to those days!

But the Metaverse is here now! We can sit with a viewer strapped to our heads and look at the world without moving! What can possibly go wrong?

true – even though some others don’t have any choice but to … escape reality still

I would love to escape to real world. I’d be riding if the bloody wind would ever quit…and so the internet and comics
