If Milton is the guy behind the bars and candies which uses his chocolate, then who’s the guy behind the ice cream?

Another banana factoid: Here in Hawaii, bananas grown in South America are actually cheaper than bananas grown locally.

Now I can’t get the Banana Boat Song out of my mind. And also the idea that a hairy tarantula might be hiding among the South American bananas!

I had a female cousin who was a Vice President of Hershey Chocolate Company for many years. Yes, she was more successful in business than anyone else in my family. I do remember seeing the big vats of chocolate on display up there. Yummy!

And that Hershey, Pennsylvania is not its own municipality. It’s part of Derry Township, Dauphin County. The school buses have “DERRY TOWNSHIP SCHOOLS, HERSHEY, PA” on the side. (I used to live just 9 miles east of Hershey)

I bought and planted a few saffron crocuses several years ago. It took about five years to produce lavender-colored flowers. And each one had two saffron threads, about four inches long. Saffron crocus is an autumn-blooming flower, unlike most crocuses, which bloom in late winter/early spring. Believe it or not.

one year there was a group over my local green space picking the crocuses, sure saffron is a different variety. Hope they got sick, decimated the flowers that year and the pickers haven’t been back.

I’vve read that some disease is attacking bananas, and they might not be available much longer.

Well, fine, but could you please finish tallying me bananas? Daylight’s come and me want to go home. ~ Culturally appropriated agricultural worker

Bananas must have a “growing season”, or we wouldn’t HAVE bananas!!
