Republicans used covid as a tool to drive us apart even more and leading to over a million deaths.

The interesting statistic is Republican areas have higher incidents of Covid. I have no sympathy, self inflicted.

A local paper here in San Diego compared death certificates with voter registration rolls. They found that Republicans died at a significantly greater rate after vaccines became available than Democrats or Independents.

A whole group of people will now try to explain why that is not the proper way to do a study, how the press is biased, how its all made up Fake News. . . . . All of that hot air will not change the basic fact, that those people are still dead.

Actually, keeping distance and hand washing were most effective. Masking was/ is mostly cosmetic.

The operators at the Florida Power & Light nuclear plants were told covid vaccinations were mandatory and failure to comply was grounds for termination. Most of us waited to see how that would play out. They were so close to the federally required minimum staffing that it could easily result in plant shutdowns and loss of millions of dollars of revenue, not to mention union problems. The deadline came and management announced a new deadline. Shocking.

Not keeping up with the science here. A recent Lancet meta-analysis of sixty-five other studies concluded that natural immunity is as good as, or better than, vaccine acquired immunity. Also, January’s Cochrane review found that masks “probably makes little or no difference” to lab-confirmed COVID outcomes. Don’t be a science denier.

OK, the vaccines don’t stop anyone from getting covid 19, and it doesn’t stop people from passing on the germ. Perhaps it reduced symptoms, but some vaccinated still died. Masks are dubious at best since wearing them all day long is uncomfortable and ungainly. The 6 feet distance was at best a good guess, with wind and humidity and sunlight, etc always changing the parameters. The best thing would have been to allow folks who are sick to stay home, but instead we tore up our economy with lock downs. Allowing people to take sick days and stay home is good for any communicable illness. So there is no simple elegant solution.
