Today’s strip appeared in the Daily Mail over two weeks ago on Saint Valentine’s Day and is obviously a perfect strip for that day. Today is Saint David’s Day named after the Patron Saint of Wales. A cartoon featuring Taffy would be appropriate for today.
Presumably in a week’s time, we will see the Pancake Day-themed cartoon which appeared in the Daily Mail on 21 February.
There is a rhyme about Saint David’s Day which I have mentioned on The Wizard of Id as I often mention Saints’s Days there due to their importance in the Middle Ages. It also refers to Saint Chad’s Day on 2 March:-
“Saint David and Saint Chad,
Sow seed good or bad."
Good or bad refers, of course, to the weather rather than the seed. It stresses the importance of sowing seed on the first two days of March.

Yes, you are. It’s great to see Fifi. It’s been a long my time. You are tall and handsome to her short and adorably cute. Indeed, a perfect fit.

Strange, I liked it more when Fred was with Jemma. Don’t know really why.
