Shoulda entitled the book Toxic Whiteness, as Mayor Peetey is obsessed with that. Mayor Peetey is, like Kamala, Exhibit A of what results in diversity hiring. He is totally unqualified and inept in that job, but hired anyway because he’s gay.

I miss Sam Brinton at DOE, he wears pretty dresses and bright red lipstick. Unfortunately he had a bad habit of stealing suitcases at airports.

Maybe the ability to be able to deal with two things at the same time is truly beyond the capabilities of the right? I feel badly for them.

The correlation between toxic masculinity and all the other toxic situations in our world is probably a lot stronger than you’d imagine. Of course, Kelley could never see the connections.

Patriarchy + hierarchy = toxic masculinity. I almost feel sorry for white men… they’ve been at the top of the heap for so long for no really good reason and now the rest of us aren’t kowtowing to them just because.

Mayor Pete has not been very good at his job. He had a lovely opportunity to show some leadership and head over to East Palestine but couldn’t be bothered. A brief tour and then sit in the town hall meeting to listen to the concerns of residents would have been the right thing to do, both for his own image and for the people of that community. He didn’t even send anyone from the NTSB to the town meeting.

Kelley and the republigoons wrote the book.

I thought republicans did not believe in toxic pollution-that only god can change the environment.

But those who wanted to hear directly from the company at the center of the toxic disaster—Norfolk Southern—pulled out of the event hours before it began, expressing concerns about “the growing physical threat to our employees and members of the community… stemming from the increasing likelihood of the participation of outside parties.”

The Norfolk Southern Railroad-operated train derailed on Feb. 3. After railroad crews drained and burned off a toxic chemical from five tanker cars, REPUBLICAN governor DeWine said that residents could return to their homes.

Even as mayor, Pete could not get potholes fixed.

I thought republicans hated the environment and regulations, they took away all of the protections and blocked all of the progress that they could.

China has high speed trains everywhere, republicans have consistently blocked upgrading the USA rail system and did all they could to destroy Amtrac.
