My Sara does the same thing with her pipe cleaner formations. if she’s lost one, she assumes it’s under the coffee table regardless of where she had it last. it’s base camp for all her toys!

Double fun – batting under the couch and getting Momma to retrieve it.

I once caught Wilamena the Radio Cat meowing into a bent PVC pipe. She had discovered a way of meowing around corners. :)
