The refs can just call holding or a false start to stop those automatic qb sneaks, usually if the refs want, they can drop a flag on just about any play. If the refs have it in for the team on defense, they can simply call an offsides as well.

Today’s defensive lines aren’t getting low enough. Back in the 60s when I was playing both ways, we used a 3 point stance on offense, and a 4 point stance on defense. You have to lift your opponent.
