I think sometimes the writer just runs out of steam! But, I guess books have to have a certain number of words or pages. One of my fav’ E-books authors spent an entire chapter on her character cooking & serving dinner with help from her two kids. She even included hubs coming home & deciding to shower b/f they ate!!!

It is helpful in deciding if a book is worth reading. If the main character’s introduction includes a description of her/his wardrobe, you can pretty much assume that the character’s character is as shallow as the author’s.

I love a good book but takes me a week or more to read it. I keep falling asleep between chapters (only have time at the end of the day when ALL are down for the night) and have to re-read most of the previous just to remember what’s going on.

I hate books that take that long to describe an item of clothing.

A book club that actually discusses the book? I didn’t realize such clubs existed:)
