Pepsi was invented in 1893 and was originally called “Brad’s Drink”. It was renamed to “Pepsi-Cola” five years later, because it was supposed to relieve dyspepsia (indigestion), so it was originally a medicine.

Warm flat Pepsi helps when you have gas. Smells about the same as well.
