I don’t think a dog’s jaws and teeth are any better designed to do that than a human’s jaws and teeth are.

I love my dog, but I prefer to eat my own food all by myself.

Weren’t those big ones called atomic jawbreakers? I remember hitting them with a hammer to break them into manageable pieces. But mostly what I ended up with were rock-hard sharp shards!
