Rocky Raccoon

Checked the doorstep by moon

Only to find Ziggy’s worries

Rocky had come a real racoon he was none

Just one of the neighbourhood’s Furries

Now the racoons are worried about you.

At least you didn’t lock the door behind you.

So Ziggy has been up half the night? Even though all the pictures show him laying in bed! Never do we see him get up out of bed.

I was up half the night, with a shotgun waiting for those pesky raccoons.

Why worry about a sure thing?

If the raccoons tried to eat them, they’d get worried sick.

Or the bears. Bears make a real mess of things.

Raccoons should be so worried. :)

Poor raccoons…..

As the Dorothy Fields / Jimmy McHugh song specifies, worry is to be left on the doorstep in the daytime: “Leave your worry on the doorstep / [And] direct your feet / To the sunny side of the street.”

Most excellent, a comic strip that has the waning crescent moon at the right time, 5:00 AM, Ziggy has been worrying half the night, moon at the right place in the sky for that time, if he went to bed around 9 or 10, then 5 would be the near end of half the night. Give or take a few hours.
