True politicians have no intelligence which is why they are politicians and not something useful.

I frequently disagree with Mr. Ramirez. Not this time. Great political cartoon.

We’ve come to accept lies and corruption as everyday events in the DC swamp. We just keep returning the same swamp creatures back to DC over and over again under the misguided belief that it’s the other members of the swamp that are the problem.

Unfashionably but stubbornly I object to cheap shots like this at “politicians.”

Some people in politics are venal, dishonest, and/or corrupt. But not all to the same degree. And not all, period.

I know people who have run for and held office—locally, for the most part, e.g., city council, mayor, etc. They are good people who sought to do something positive for the community. They didn’t turn into slimy idiots just because they ran for office.

Stereotypes are ugly. They classify a group and give permission to hate. Stereotypes of “politicians” undermine our democratic system. If you, Ramirez & others, dislike politicians, perhaps you’d be happier under an authoritarian government.

I’ll just keep looking for and supporting good, solid folks with whom I share values and goals.

AI chatbots can give trolls convincing arguments that are factually inconsistent.

Is there any responsibility for the reader/listener to think factually correct statements are valuable? I’m looking at your supporters Mike.

The only way we can wind up with politicians who are in any way inadequate is to elect them. Since we do elect quite a few who are, it isn’t their fault, it’s ours. We encourage everyone to get out and vote. Maybe not such a good idea, since the information most have is minimal and biased. Instead, maybe we should have a test on the candidates’ positions before people are even allowed to vote, because an awful lot of people are voting for people they really don’t want in office.

Speaking of artificial intelligence, when you figure out that Hannity and Tucker are paid actors and not news reporters their plot becomes clearer.

GOP says corporations are not people so they can’t be taxed but they are people so they can donate to political campaigns what a paradox

I’ve seen too many movies about AI taking over. Human animals always go the proverbial one step too far.

An interesting question that boils down to just what is intelligence. Certainly politicians seem to have little.. be it artificial or home grown.

The statement was “convincing arguments” and “factually correct.” That lets out any politician.

Good one. Re-watched a movie from 06 called Thank you for Smoking. It is funny but it is also very educational in explaining how not to win an argument not between another person but to the public. First, why bother telling someone else they are wrong, give your side, then explain you want both your side and your opponent’s side, that people should have a choice, which is true. There were several examples of that in the movie, well worth the less than two hours to watch.
