I love going to Food Lion with my Del Haize bag (Belgium : the original FL) and explaining how the cashiers there sit at the register and do not bag your groceries. Of course, soon there will be no more cashiers at Food Lion.

Aldi’s is civilized that way. Another nice thing is the restrooms are up front instead of hidden in back of the store. So if the cashier has to relieve themselves they can do it rather quickly.

Cashiers deserve stools. They work hard enough as it is.

i worked night shift in a factory where we were allowed to have a stool when stationed at a semi-automatic machine. One night, the factory manager came in early and saw a guy asleep on his stool and his machine’s gate stuck open. He took the stools away from everyone, and had us all sign the memo about why.

HR will have to check to see if the accommodations are reasonable. Recliners are reasonable as long as you have the 36 inch gap between the counters. It’s actually a rule!
