Well, there are nice trash bags.

Any trash bag that doesn’t split when you pick it up is a nice trash bag.

Trash bags are utilitarian products of human ingenuity and necessity and convenience. A symbol for our Culture, that kicks so many cans down the existential road. They deserve respect, not disdain. I sometimes think Aunty Acid is a reincarnation of Gertrude Stein, and would have a pithy quote about them.

Now am I talking about the bag or Aunty, that is the question.

Your perspective changes as you get older and sometimes not.

As teen a guy could gain status as a “babe magnet” by having a car and being able to drive. The same holds true for 80-year-olds in the retirement home.

I’ve never said that about a garbage bag.

Your standards for nice things change as you get older.
