I did more often in the past. I’m one of those that you love me or hate me. Hubby is so nice, I don’t think anyone dislikes him enough to even snub him.
I don’t mean to disparage lawn service people, but as long as I can fertilize and cut my own grass I will do it. Some of my neighbors look down on me for that. My place might not appear picture-perfect, but I enjoy being outside puttering about. I miss the acres I had, but they were acquired for an airport (still unbuilt after 23 years). This place in a subdivision is a postage stamp compared to what I had.
.
Every dandelion that dares to pop up and bloom on my lawn seems a scandalous affront to some nosy neighbors. I say hello to everyone, even so, but “hell-o” is where some can go.
Oh yes, but it is their problem, not mine. I am going… .somewhere. You are welcome to come with me, even wanted! but I will not wait for you. THAT makes some people p***y.
Aunty, I’m a geriatric, heterosexual, white, conservative, middle class, Christian, American male; people here in the U.S. and all over the world wait in line and take a number for their chance to blame me and my demographic for their plights and problems.
I don’t mind those who glare and silently judge. By why do some feel the need to walk up to me and tell me why or how I should use my phone, ride my trike, exercise, and even what I should order in a restaurant. Complete strangers? What are they thinking. I’ve just started looking at them confused and asking how my actions are affecting their lives.
Fairly certain I ticked someone off on Sunday when I was on my way home since I was in the fast lane and only doing five miles over the speed limit to appease them.

Yup. And they’re dang miserable simply because I’m happy. It’s sad, really, since I don’t wish them ill.

yeppers- all the time. And it doesn’t bother me one little bit. If anything, I grin even wider.

Live and let live is a good motto but not many practice it.

No, but doing what I was hired to do, before retirement, ticked many people off.

I raised a child by myself after she was about 4. Once we hit the tween years, I suddenly became a horrible person. Eventually I became wise again.
