RIP Wally. Actually heard of Trog but never saw any of his comics as they were in rather highbrow newspapers. I also never realised that Jonathan was British born.

hard for me to be sad when he lived 98 years.

    a good run, I’d say.

    time to rest.

Mr. Wiggly: The last panel: Sharing Rufus’, Floog’s, 8-Balls and Weenus’ grief over the loss of a great cartoonist. Mr. Wiggly end bowed, is even shedding tears. Sniff Sniff. I say “end” because I don’t know which end of a worm is its head.

Thank you for the history. Mutts creator was a punk rocker? Who knew!

Thank you Jonathan, you’ve stepped aside and did a very touching memorial for “TROG”…

Lovely tribute. I had to read about him. Glad I did. May he rip.

Hard to believe Patrick McDonnel played punk rock. “Mutts” is the least punk rock comic I can think of.

So, nice tribute over a cartoonist/comic that few over this side of the pond have heard of……..

…. but Lemon misspelled Patrick McDONNELL and Ward KIMBALL.

Might as well spell the “Peanuts” creator Charles “Schultz” while you’re at it.

In the early 1990’s I saw the ‘Rock bottom ’remainders’ in a small club in Boston. They weren’t’ very good but that wasn’t the point. They charged a high ticket price, for a charity (literacy). And every song got huge applause.
