Timmy never actually fell down a well.

And what did Timmy say then timidly? “Well, well…”?

Now Rover can imagine two episodes of “Lassie” while waiting for dinner.

Rover doe not understand the concept of time. I guess it a strictly human thing ;)

And would we have Timmy any other way?

But Rover does understand Timmy units of time!

The lassie show is not complete unless lassie is saving Timmy from some sort of disaster. Yip yip yip yip yip

Back in those days, bad happenings were:

Wells to fall into, quicksand to step into (even in the desert), snakes to bite you (all poisonous), horses to fall off of, cliffs to fall over, and forests to get lost in.

Red and Rover have a lot to dwell on for the next hour.

LOL… Gotta love Rover.

Lassie never really cared about Timmy. Keeping that stupid kid alive just meant more lucrative film contracts.

Before there was Timmy, there was Jeff. Did he fall down wells, too?

According to https://legendsrevealed.com/, Timmy never actually fell down a well but he certainly got into more than his share of bad situations that Lassie had to rescue him from that are far too numerous to list here but a few of the more noteworthy ones were:

…let a rabid dog out of a cage (“Graduation”)

…ate deadly nightshade berries (“Berrypickers”)

…threatened by an escaped circus elephant (“The Elephant”)

…hides out in the treehouse when he has pneumonia (“Spartan”)

…threatened by a mother wolf (“The Wolf Cub”)

…falls into the lake, twice (“Transition” and “The House Guest”)

…develops a high fever from the measles (“The Crisis”)

…is almost shot (“Hungry Deer”)

…diagnosed with appendicitis (“Hospital”)

…trapped in an abandoned house (“Trapped”)

…wanders into a live mine field (“Junior GIs”)

…menaced by a bear, twice (“Campout” and “The Renegade”)

…trapped in a mine (“Old Henry”)

…nearly flies a home-made glider off a cliff (“Flying Machine”)

…runs into a burning house to save a lady and passes out (“The Whopper”)

…endangered by dynamite picked up by an escaped lab chimp (“The Man from Mars”)

No doubt about it, the kid had a knack for getting into bad situations and kept Lassie extremely busy saving his life.

Good job Red …… you sure know how to relate time for Rover to understand …… :)
