We still haven’t gotten over the loss of her brother two months ago, but two weeks ago we lost our Good Girl Lily… she was so good (pills? No sweat. Needles? Fine. Plants and drapes and people food? Untouched. Claw trimming? Purr! Time to leave a room? OK. ). And so smart – we swear she understood what we said… I told the medical person at Tufts-Cummins where we drove to donate her body to science that maybe the vet students could pay attention to her brain, and she said she’d make a note of that! …And so playful -! We need to learn how to put a video on the internet so everyone can see her Lightning Paws…
I came home from work missing her final breath (kidney disease -which 100% of cats die from if no other problem) by just 20 minutes…but my husband was there to notice his baby and cradle her head.. I had worried about how she was doing but wanted to get things done at work before an approaching snowstorm. Sigh.
We’re down to one, her sister, the cuddliest of the three (which is saying a lot). She better stay healthy for at least two years (and one week) and make the 20 I was assuming all 3 would…Though I may not stay healthy because I keep not being able to go to bed nights because she’s either on my lap or chest or face…
