Mom and Cathy: White pants! We found our summer white pants! Dad: What is it with you two and white pants. Mom: It isn't us and white pants, dear. It's all womanhood and white pants. A woman's ability to face the one article of clothing guaranteed to make her backside look like a refrigerator is a yearly measure of her confidence and fortitude. To try on 7000 different white pants and find the one pair a woman could wear without a baggy knee-length top over it is more than a victory. It's a triumphant annual rite of passage! ...Or, in our case, an annual rite of passing-out-age. Cathy: You had to stop at the food court on our way out, didn't you, Mom??
