I had a mug [it broke just after I retired] for years that boldly proclaimed, " I SERVE AND PROTECT…AFTER COFFEE". my partner had one declaring, “TO DO THIS JOB I NEED 3 THINGS…ADRENALINE, TESTOSTERONE AND CAFFIENE.”
Why is it that a ceramic mug makes coffee cold in under 20 minutes, but a metal travel mug/thermos keeps it so hot it’s undrinkable for 2 hours. My 4 cup coffee pot shuts off automatically after 2 hour, so by the time I drink my piping hot metal travel mug coffee, I have to reheat my second cup in a ceramic mug because the pot went cold.

It’s really not okay to expect conversation until the coffee has a chance to kick in.

Battle language is a variant of Klingonese, using greatly shortened words, phrases & grammar.
The reasoning for it is in battle, brevity is considered a more valuable characteristic than eloquence.
